LEA’s management, operations team and flight crew

Patrick Margetson-Rushmore, Chief Executive

Patrick is a founding member of LEA and is responsible for the overall strategic development and financial control of the company. In the 1980s and early 1990s he worked in the City of London in corporate finance advising both private and public companies. He is a board director of the European Air Taxi Association.

George Galanopoulos, Managing Director

George is a founding member of LEA and oversees Operations and Customer Care. He has over 20 years experience of commercial flying and Charter Management. He is an authorised examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority, a council member for the BBGA and a Fellow of the Guild of Air Pilots and Navigators.

Captain Karl Ratcliffe, Chief Pilot

Karl has been with the company since 1999 and has 20 years of executive charter experience. He heads LEA's department of some 90 Pilots. He has flown on most of the company's fleet types. He has been Chief Pilot for the last 8 years and is a well respected individual by the Civil Aviation Authority ("CAA"). He has been responsible for introducing 3 fleet types into the United Kingdom with the CAA.

 

Captain Glyn Anderson, Head of Standards, Jet Fleet Manager

Glyn has been with the company since its start in 1995, has flown on most of the company's types and has a very broad corporate experience which enables him to have a excellent understanding of LEA's clients' needs and expectations. As well as maintaining high client service standards he is responsible for flight safety compliance and is the acting fleet manager on the Embraer Legacy fleet.

Captain Neil Onions, Chief Training Captain

Neil is a highly experienced commercial pilot as well as a CAA authorised examiner. He has been flying with the company since 2002 and in the past he has worked as an Air Traffic Controller out of London City Airport. As well as overseeing LEA's flight crew training he has specific training responsibility for the Cessna Citation Mustang fleet.

Leigh Westwood, Operations Manager

Leigh is responsible for managing LEA's Ground and Flight Operations department. Having worked in aviation for around 10 years, he has a diverse knowledge of the industry, from not only working in management roles for an airport operator, a major scheduled airline and also a charter operator, but also from a flying perspective, as a qualified commercial pilot.

Chris Watson, Commercial Manager

Chris has worked in Aviation for over 10 years and has experience in many areas of the industry. He has been with LEA for 6 years and is in charge of our Commercial department.

 

 

 

Martin Hilder, Project Manager

Martin is a Project Manager for LEA. He has a financial and corporate background, and has been with LEA since 2001.

Mark Williams, Maintenance Manager

Mark is in charge of LEA's maintenance department and is responsible for implementing and maintaining the high safety standards required by the Civil Aviation Authority. He has extensive experience across a broad range of aircraft and between him and the other licensed engineers his department is EASA approved throughout our fleet.

Tony Medlock, Head of Finance

Tony joined the company in April 2011 and heads up the Accounts Department. He is a fully qualified accountant and has previously held a number of senior finance positions in a variety of small and medium sized organisations. Although a newcomer to the aviation industry he has in excess of 25 years accounting experience in industry and commerce.
