23 April 2007, London, England – For the second consecutive year, London Executive Aviation (‘LEA’), the UK’s largest private jet charter operator, has been named Best General Aviation Operator in the Baltic Air Charter Association (‘BACA’) Excellence Awards.
At an award ceremony held at Plaisterers Hall, London on 19 April 2007, LEA was honoured alongside companies including Signature Flight Support (Best Handling Agent), East Midlands Airport (Best Airport) and Titan Airways (Best Passenger Airline). The winners were decided by BACA members, who were asked to nominate the organisations they consider best in class.
BACA is a premier industry association, which since 1949 has represented the interests of commercial aviation companies, particularly air charter providers. It represents some 125 UK and international companies, including air brokers, charter airlines, airports, business aircraft operators, consultants and others involved in air charter, scheduled flying and air cargo.
Accepting the company’s trophy, LEA’s chief executive Patrick
Margetson-Rushmore said, “We are thrilled and honoured to be named best
charter operator for the second year. BACA’s members are the real experts
in air charter and the most exacting judges we could face. LEA has a track
record of leadership and this year will see us become the first UK operator
to introduce the low-cost Citation Mustang small business jet. This endorsement
is therefore timely and greatly appreciated.”
